About

About Janelle Nightingale

I’m a strategic communications leader, author, and global storyteller with over 15 years of experience helping organizations and leaders find their voice and amplify their impact.

Currently, I serve as Executive Director of Agri Planet Africa, where I lead sustainable agriculture, education, and empowerment initiatives across Uganda. I’m also the author of Fields of Resilience, a photojournalism project that captures the strength and spirit of Ugandan communities through authentic storytelling.

My career spans corporate marketing leadership, nonprofit strategy, and international development. Whether crafting campaigns that drive multimillion-dollar growth or building bridges across cultures, I believe in the power of authentic communication to create meaningful change.

This site is where I share insights on leadership communication, strategic storytelling, and lessons learned from boardrooms to African villages.

Let’s Connect

I’m always interested in connecting with fellow leaders, communicators, and changemakers. Find me on LinkedIn or reach out through the contact form below.

The stories that matter most aren't the polished ones; they're the honest ones. Truth builds trust. Trust builds change.

What We Do

Building Bridges Between Communities

I founded Agri Planet Foundation to formalize and expand the work I’ve been passionate about for years: empowering Ugandan communities through sustainable agriculture and education. As President of this U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, I work alongside our partners at Agri Planet Africa to fund programs that create real, lasting change.

From school gardens that feed students to leadership training for youth, from refugee family support to community resource centers, every initiative is designed with and for the communities we serve. This isn’t charity; it’s partnership. It’s about honoring resilience and creating pathways to self-sufficiency.

Our Programs:

  • Agricultural education and school gardens
  • Youth leadership training
  • Refugee support services
  • Community Resource Centers

100% of donations directly support our work in Uganda.
